Connecting Services

New customers may make arrangements to begin service by stopping by our office at 400 W. Main Street. Customer will need the following:

Renters – 1) A deposit which must be paid before services may begin. The deposit of $200 ($150 for electric service, $25 for water service, and $25 for sewer service). The deposit is applied to your final bill when services are terminated.
2) Identification – A driver’s license or some other government issued photo identification.
3) Renter’s Form – A form provided by your landlord stating the names of all individuals over 18 that will be living at the residence.
Employees work in an office checking records
Owners – 1) Either a deposit as listed above or proof of 12 month of good payment history from a previous utility company. The deposit will be applied to your account after 12 months of good payment history.
2) Identification – A driver’s license or some other government issued photo identification.
3) Proof of Purchase – A document from your home closing that states your name and address.

Commercial – 1) All commercial accounts are required to make a deposit before any service can be connected. The deposit is an average monthly bill determined by the type of business being conducted at the location. The deposit is applied to your final bill when services are terminated.
2) Business Registration Form – After you have contacted the City of Clarksville for the form, you will bring this with you for set up services with CCU. Their contact information is listed below.
